sand sculpture

This piece is from my sculpture class. The concept was free for the student to decide. I wanted my concept to involve the unique forms fruit have and deal with a contrasting form such as the "slicing". This work represents the contrasting of the two forms, round organic versus the slicing, sharp.

restore

These are two images i chose to restore in photoshop for my digital darkroom class. The image on the left is of my great-grandpa and one of my uncles. The image on the right is of my mother.

creative response

This is an image I worked with some in photoshop. This image was shot with a 35 mm camera in my photography I class. I decided to come back to this image and use it for a project in my digital darkroom class. This is a wine tasting scene at Joe Edwards Christmas tree farm in November of 2009. I really enjoyed the way the lighting turned out in this image.

I'm Back

These are photos from my yearly family trip to the North Carolina mountains.

I've been missing from the blog life for about 2 years now. I'm back and ready to start posting my latest work.

Final Mold

This was the final mold that we casted. We decided this was our favorite one because the rippling/waves looked better and there were more of them. Both models turned out very successful so there wasn't much of a change in there appearance. This model was in the presentation though because I'm pretty sure they got mixed up! But you can see what our final one looks like.

The Presentation

I was in the Exhibit Group for the separate groups that contributed to the final presentation. One of the hard tasks I took on was cutting out the PATHWAYS EDGES BOUNDARIES letters that went on the brown paper wall with the drawings. But overall the exhibit turned out nicely and so did the final presentation. This project took a lot of hard work and extra time spent outside of studio time working on it to have it complete and looking great!
